Welcome to Brow Artistry
Consultation
Our services are never “just a clean up.” Every appointment includes full assessment, mapping, and intentional design.
Welcome & Intake (use a mirror)
- Ask, then show with the mirror.
- Past brow services? (wax/thread/tint/lifting/microblading) When? Results liked/not liked?
- Goals today? (fuller • sleeker/defined • softer/natural • symmetry)
- Upcoming events?
- Are you starting a brow journey (rehab/growth plan)?
Objective Language Prompts (avoid vague terms)
- Shape: “Do you prefer a very clean, defined line with a noticeable arch, or a softer/lifted, more organic look?”
- Color: “Match your roots? 1–2 shades darker than roots? Even out lighter sections so the whole brow reads one tone?”
- Use the mirror to point: “This center is denser/darker; we can even the head / top line / tail so the brow looks fuller without going darker overall.”
Makeup & Lifestyle
- “What’s your morning routine like? Do you fill your brows (pencil/gel/powder/pomade)?”
- “Do you want to style daily, or forget about them between visits?” → Zero-maintenance clients typically do not suit lifting.
- “Would you like me to show you how we style brows so you can do it at home?”
Skin & Safety Intake
- Current skincare (retinol, acids, acne meds), recent facials/peels, allergies/sensitivities.
- We use hard wax; it’s gentle but always wrist-test wax temperature, then ask the client if the temperature feels comfortable.
If the Client Has No Idea
You choose based on hair density/texture, color, lifestyle, and event timing. Confirm the plan out loud before starting.
Mapping & Approval Policy (all services)
- Map → show → adjust → proceed.
- Start conservative: we can always remove more; we cannot add hair.
Brow Rehab Journey (set expectations)
- With consistent, strategic shaping, follicles in kept areas are stimulated, and over time brows look fuller and more balanced.
- Letting brows “just grow” between long gaps slows this process. Regular visits accelerate rehab.
Lifting Fit Notes (useful during consult)
Lifting is a great tool for creating beautiful, full brows, but it isn’t right for everyone. Be honest to match lifestyle and preferences.
- Great for: thin/sparse brows (reposition hairs to fill gaps), medium–full brows wanting lift/fluffy look, symmetry when enough hair exists to reposition, curly/stubborn hairs.
- Not ideal for: zero-maintenance clients; those whose brows already sit perfectly; clients unwilling to accept a slightly fuller/thicker appearance after lift.
- If a client wants no change in perceived thickness → recommend shaping/tint instead.

Brow Mapping
Purpose: To create a symmetrical, flattering brow shape that complements the client’s natural features and aligns with their preferences. Mapping ensures accuracy for shaping, tinting, lifting, or other brow enhancements.
Tools 🖋
- Brow mapping string or pencil
- Brow paste
- Calipers or measuring tool
- Silicone exfoliating brush
- OM Emulsifying Blue Cleanser
- Brow foam soap
- Mirror for client feedback
Step 1: Cleanse & Prep
- Clean and dry the brows using brow foam soap.
- Light exfoliation with silicone brush to remove dead skin.
- Finish with OM Emulsifying Blue Cleanser to add light moisture and prep skin.
Step 2: Mark Reference Points (A, B, C)
- A – Brow Start: Inner edge of nostril upward to brow.
- B – Arch: From nostril, through iris center to highest point of brow.
- C – Tail: From nostril, through outer corner of eye to brow tail (common sparse area).
Step 3: Map the Shape
- Draw parallel “train track” lines from start to arch; keep lines parallel.
- Taper from arch to tail; soften arch if necessary.
- Complete with mapping string, paste, or pencil.
Step 4: Confirm with Client
- Show the mapped outline in the mirror and explain your intention.
- Adjust before beginning service.
Tips
- Use neutral, objective language — avoid “fix” or “correct.”
- Keep mapping lines crisp before tint/hybrid dye.
- Respect natural asymmetry — adjust to suit the face, not force identical brows.
