Hair Growth Stages Explained

Understanding the hair cycle helps explain why results vary:

  • Anagen (growth phase): The active stage where the hair is attached to the follicle and growing. Removing hair in this phase gives the longest-lasting results.
  • Catagen (transitional phase): A short phase where hair stops growing and detaches slightly from the blood supply.
  • Telogen (resting phase): The hair is fully detached and ready to shed. These hairs may fall out soon after treatment or be replaced quickly by new anagen hairs, making it seem like regrowth happens fast.

Because not all hairs are in the same stage at once, especially in areas like Brazilians, some clients may experience early regrowth after their first session. With regular sugaring, hair regrowth becomes more synchronized and finer over time, improving long-term smoothness and slowing the appearance of regrowth.

How long will my sugaring results last?

Usually 3–5 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. The more you get sugaring the better and longer lasting results you will get.

Can I get services if I’m pregnant?

Yes! But always check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

Can I get a Brazilian while on my period?

Absolutely! For Brazilians, we recommend using a tampon, menstrual cup, or your preferred product so we have access to the area. If you’re free bleeding, no problem, we’ll make sure everything is clean, comfy, and hygienic for your treatment.

How painful is a Brazilian sugaring?

Sensitivity varies by person. First-time clients may experience more discomfort, but the process becomes easier over time as hair grows back finer. Taking a pain reliever beforehand can help, and the treatment itself is quick and performed with care.

Why do I see little bumps or redness after sugaring?

This is a normal histamine response from the skin as it reacts to the removal of many hairs at once. It usually subsides within a few hours to a day. Using the Pachamama Mask or a soothing product can help calm the skin.

Can I exercise or go swimming right after sugaring?

We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before exercising, swimming, or using saunas and hot tubs. After sugaring, your skin is more sensitive, and sweat, heat, or pool chemicals can cause irritation.

Instead, give your skin a little time to rest. After 24 hours, you can get back to your usual routine feeling smooth and comfortable.
